Not a target, but Peter ‘Animal’ Castillo gets shot

A Belize City man remains admitted at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital in a stable condition following a shooting incident around six a.m. on Saturday. Thirty-three year old Peter Castillo, better known as “Animal” had just gone to a house on Gill Street to visit a friend when several shots, some say up to five, rang out…the path of the bullets were in Castillo’s direction. The resident of a Jane Usher Boulevard address in Belize City was hit to the calf, shoulder and jaw. According to reports, Castillo was riding from the direction on Fabers Road and as he turned on to Gill Street, a lone gunman came up from behind and fired the shots at him. Despite being shot, Castillo managed to jump a nearby fence to avoid his attacker. He was rushed to the K.H.M.H. where he now remains hospitalized.

NOT A TARGET? He’s the only one hit, and hit THREE TIMES — how does that make him “not a target?” There’s more to this story than meets the eye, I’ll bet. I wonder if anyone will investigate to figure out what really was going on.
