Hofius Manager, Jacqueline Roe, robbed of Hilux
Over the weekend, the executive director of the women’s commission, Ann-Marie Williams, was robbed of her vehicle on Saturday night and tonight, another well-known businesswoman reports that her vehicle was also stolen. The manager of Hofius Belize Limited was robbed at gunpoint on Monday night at about seven. Jacqueline Roe had just parked her 2012 Toyota Hilux inside the parking lot of the Smokey Mermaid Restaurant on Cork Street in Belize City when she was attacked by two men in dark clothing. One of them placed a knife at her side and ordered her to hand over the keys to the vehicle along with a Samsung Ace phone with calling number. The robbers then escaped in the Hilux with license plate, BZE-42933. The vehicle is valued at eighty thousand dollars and the phone is valued at eight hundred dollars. Up to news time, police are investigating this latest incident.
This poor lady has bad luck, I recall she was robbed a year or two ago. I hope both crimes are solved and the criminals imprisoned.
