Police receive two Mahindras to battle northern crime
The police department has received two additional vehicles to increase their patrol capability. Deputy Commissioner of Police Elodio Aragon junior handed them over to the Officer Commanding the Northern Zone Joseph Myvette and Officer Commanding Orange Walk, Dennis Arnold. The handing over video of the Mahindra vehicles was provided courtesy of the Press Office.
Elodio Aragon Jr., Deputy Commissioner of Police
“These vehicles are presently slated for the northern district—Orange Walk and Corozal. These vehicles are really needed in the north because of the wide amount of ground that they need to cover. As we begin to improve upon our services to reach out to communities, these vehicles will come in handy for officers to get out there and to look into reports that arise out of these rural areas. So these vehicles will play a key role to assist and improve upon the efficiency of the police department.”
The vehicles are assigned to the police formations in Corozal and Orange Walk Towns.
Officer Commanding Corozal Formation recently over turn a brand new dimax and nothing was heard about it. Yet he was delivered a brand new Mahindra. Information recieved was that he was under the influence of alcohol and refused to provide blood and urine for testing.
This minister is aiding the enemy on a constant basis. In my book aiding the enemy is treason. In his quest for material for his propaganda department he hands out monocycles and vehicles every month thereby informing the criminals in what areas of the country they should be more alert.
So, the relatives and friends of the Minister from Spanish Lookout who are the owners of the Mahindra dealership make another quick sale of vehicles, with the taxpayers footing the bill! …these UDP croneys are making like BANDITS with our tax dollars! so the dealer’s bank accounts are getting fatter by the month, aided and abetted by those we elected to serve us, however, meanwhile the rest of us Belizeans have to go ahead and continue eating Ramen noodles!
Just another day in the life of a Government playing “grabbins” with our taxes and resources, while the pompous eunuch of a leader can do nothing but spout verbous platitudes and excuses!! One of these days we are gonna wake up, look around, and realize that we have nothing left for “ordinary” Belizeans to live and survive with. ….by then it will be too late!
Why is there a big spectacle whenever the Police or BDF get a new vehicle? These are things that must be provided by government. They are not a gift or a donation; they are necessary tools! Maybe have a parade whenever any government ministry gets office supplies too…
I’ll buy the gas if the police will now please go and arrest Denny Grijalva for his crimes.
@Belmopanese
If you did some research before you spill sh— like venom and expose your lack of intellectual properties, you would probably be eating something else….your narrow-mindedness has you in the hopeless situation you are in.
You are just another example of crab in a bucket mentality. I am not a big fan of things this Government is doing but this is something I applaud since I have gathered that Mahindra is selling for about 50thousand, which is good since they are no long spending 70 (and more) thousand on vehicles.
Educate yourself.
@Belmopaneze: Why dont you just write a book where you can unleash all your hate and jealousy? And I’m thinking, are you a Belmopaneze truly? And what exactly is the GOB supposed to be doing with our tax dollars? Put people like you in jail for blasphemy?
Do you want to see the New Police Pickup.
Just visit C&B or the nearest gasoline smuggler.
And be careful if the police rub you down because they will steal the money out of your wallet better than any pickpocket.

How long before they wreck these?
Bway Belmopanese…sounds like “sour grapes”.
You seem to have extracted your facts right out of your –ss. You are obviously not even from Belmopan or you would know who is selling Mahindra.
I am no fan of this Government but I can tell you that I applaud them for finding a more affordable alternative to all the expensive vehicles they have been procuring in the past. I just did what you should have done, call the dealers and get an idea of the prices so you see how these trucks were decided on.
Get your head out of your rear and get informed!
And our K-9 Unit is still without a vehicle. We have ten well trained K-9’s sitting in kennels in Belmopan and Belize City. Getting to work only occassionally when transported in the back of the newly U.S. donated MIT trucks. Again, due to totally enept supervision and management, a valuable resources is wasted.
let’s see how long they will be on the road.
Will these vehicles actually be used for patrol or will they just be grabbed by top police officials and used as personal vehicles with gas and maintenance paid for by the taxpayers?
