One man arraigned for murder of former prison officer…
And while the allegation appears to be criminal, it seems that only hard crime gets a suspect arrested. In court today, twenty-four year old John Martinez, accused of killing former prison officer Ernest Savery on February twenty-second, was been charged for murder. Martinez, who appeared before Chief Magistrate Anne Marie Smith unrepresented, was read a single count. No plea was taken and due to the nature of the offense, he was remanded to the Belize Central Prison until June twenty fourth. At around ten o’clock that night, Ernest Savery was gunned down in front of his home in Ladyville, while crossing the street en route to his girlfriend’s house. He was shot once to the stomach and was rushed to the K.H.M.H., where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Murderers need to die, no mercy, no exceptions.
