20 year old man and 13 year old girl spells carnal knowledge

A Belize City man will have to answer to a sexual offense for allegedly having sex with a teenage school girl last year on April twentieth. Twenty year old Ellsworth Hendy, a Belize City laborer, was informed by the Chief Magistrate Anne Marie Smith on Wednesday that a prima facie case has been established against him for an allegation that he had sexual intercourse with a girl thirteen years old. During the PI, Hendy, who was unrepresented, chose not to challenge any of the police evidence and his case for carnal knowledge was committed to the September session of the Supreme Court which is set to commence on September sixteenth. Prosecutor was Inspector Hector Rodriguez who relied heavily on a statement of the teenager who was present in court. There were also other statements, including one from the mother of the child as well as pictures of the alleged scene. Hendy told the court that he intends to call two female witnesses when his case comes up for trial.

Why would he want to call 2 female witnesses when the mother of the victim has pictures to prove that he’s guilty? Maybe, those 2 witnesses were accomplices instead.
