Gas attendant pumps way to burglary charge
Nineteen year old Calbert Roberts Junior appeared before Chief Magistrate Anne Marie Smith today, where he was indicted on a charge of burglary. The young gas attendant is accused of breaking and entering into General Shop in Biscayne Village on May twenty-sixth. Roberts reportedly stole four thousand, one hundred dollars in cash from his former employer, Racquel Borland. In court, the emotional and tearful young man confessed to the burglary and apologized to Borland. When asked what he did with the remainder of the money that was not recovered by police, Roberts said that he bought food and other items for his baby. Roberts was charged with Burglary and Damage to Property, while his girlfriend, twenty year old Monique Trimino was charged with Handling Stolen Goods.
