Did wife have a role in murder of Belizean American?

A Belizean also lost his life to violence in the United States. The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the murder of a Belizean American inside his home on Sunday. Two months after visiting relatives in Belize, thirty-eight year old Gregory Bennett also known as Gregory Scott was killed. Bennett was shot three times in the face. His body was discovered on father’s day by his sister. Duane Moody spoke today with Bennett’s mother, Fabiana Scott, who says she is at a loss for words about her son’s demise.

“I heard Monday morning. One of his friends came and told me that my son died. They found my son in the house shot in his face; they gave him three shots in his face. Also, I talked to some of his relatives in the states and they told me the same thing that they shot him in his face. Apparently it is because of woman.”

“Who found his body?”

“I heard it was one of his sister.”

“Which state was it that this happened?”

“How long was he there? Was he known to be troublesome or anything like that?”

“Well the way I bring up my children, he is not a troublesome.  I don’t take up for my children but I know him very good and everybody that known Gregory know that he is a loving person. The way I bring them up, they are all loving children that I have. They have…nothing to say that he was a problem child or give me trouble.”

“This was your eldest child. What’s going through your head now that something like this could have happened to him?”

“I don’t…I’m in a shock right now. All my memories come back from Jackie because it is like nearly the same thing happen because when Jackie, I was in the states, I was far away. And now my son is far away again….so.”
