Chinese businessman detained following Wednesday night shooting in Orange Walk
A Chinese businessman from San Jose Village in the Orange Walk District has been detained after a shooting on Wednesday night. Reports are that at around six p.m. three men were at the Chinese store in San Jose drinking beers when they got into an altercation with the owner and began banging on the door. That’s when proprietor Zhi Lian Zhang pulled out a twelve gauge shotgun and fired a shot at the men, hitting twenty-six year old Erwin Hernandez on his left hand. While that is the official report, there is another account. News Five has received information that the men were attempting to break open the door to rob the establishment. And that’s when Zhang fired a single shot through the small window of the establishment. We are told that the door is kept locked because of a prior robbery at the store, and all sales are conducted through that small window. Hernandez was taken to the Northern Regional Hospital and we understand that he is now in Chetumal seeking further treatment for his injuries. Zhi Lian Zhang is still detained while Police conduct investigations.

I bet he will not be charged. There are numerous incidents of Chinese brutality that goes unnoticed.
Well the bussinesman was protecting his establishment what the police expect?
