Repeat sex offender back before the courts
Fifty-two-year-old Michael Davis, a deacon of Crooked Tree Village, is back in prison after being accused of committing a sexual offense against a minor. According to the teenager, in July 2012, whilst in the village, Davis had intercourse with her. The pair was engaged in at least three subsequent sexual encounters, the most recent being November 2012. In the courtroom of Senior Magistrate Sharon Frazer today, Davis was arraigned on four counts of carnal knowledge. It is alleged that after being charged for a similar offense in the first instance, Davis was being investigated by police. No plea was taken from him and Davis, who appeared unrepresented, was denied bail due to the nature of the offenses. With that he was remanded to the Belize Central Prison until October twenty-eight when he is scheduled to return to court.
