Despite being removed as Immigration Director, Ruth Meighan’s signature continues to appear on passports
As we continue to dig into the immigration scandal, we unearthed the following detail. The signature of former Director of Immigration, Ruth Meighan, remains a fixture in all passports currently being issued. Meighan was transferred to the Ministry of Finance earlier this year, in February. Notwithstanding the interim appointment of senior public officer Maria Marin as Acting Director of Immigration, an electronic template bearing Meighan’s initials is still in use. News Five understands that until an official appointment has been made the signature will remain. There is no telling at this point whether the unlawful use of the signature was involved in the issuance of a Belizean passport to imprisoned South Korean businessman Kim Wonhong since that passport is reportedly still in Taiwan.
We think this is totally illegal if this is true. You should not be responsible for any documents, once you have been transferred from that department, effective the same day you move. Lots of hanky panky could be done using your signature, and you would never be able to answer. That is not right!
As the Immigration Director, and this can be verified, Ruthie whose hussie no have job, moved up rapidito. She had a small house which changed into a mansion with high fence and parking for customers requesting services. It became an extended office of immigration. Now how could all this happen on a director salary…only Ruthie could explain. Daughter got treated real handsomely as well. The only reason why these things need checking into, is because the people need to see how the lives of immigration personnel change in two there years, so that they can figure out whether that place is a lucrative money hole. Everybody gat each others back, from high to low. Shhhhhhhhh… Hulse might find out…so keep quiet.
