A flashback at the numerous immigration scandals

The sale of visas has been a lucrative business for immigration officials, agents and couriers. Nationals from countries as far as Sri Lankan, Somalia, Nigeria and primarily China pay thousands of dollars, as much as ten thousand, to obtain the visas which gets them to Belize as they move their way to the United States. News Five has done a number of investigative pieces on this issue for which we have won numerous awards. Tonight we revisit one such story which we aired on November second, 2010. At the time, it was the former Minister of National Security, Carlos Perdomo who came under fire. Perdomo was subsequently transferred to another ministry.
