Indian businessman pleads guilty to assaulting female customer

Bhishan Kumar Issrani

An Indian businessman of Miami Fashion Store in downtown Albert Street also appeared in court. Bhishan Kumar Issrani is accused of hugging a female student inappropriately when she went to his store to purchase a shoe. According to the eighteen year old, she asked for the cost of a shoe, but instead of getting a price, Issrani allegedly hugged her and pressed his body against her for twenty seconds…making her uncomfortable. And today, when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Anne Marie Smith, Issrani pleaded guilty to the offense of Common Assault. Issrani was fined two hundred dollars plus five dollars for cost of court. He was additionally ordered to pay his victim one hundred and fifty dollars in compensation for his action. Within minutes, Issrani paid all fines and was able to go free; escaping any jail time. The incident occurred on Monday evening.

  1. say what says:

Gold Digger ALERT! Now you going to have a slew of false accusations flying. The court has decided this case – guilty!
In a case of “he said/she said” – I don’t have to tell you how that goes; however, I must ask, what evidence does one need to prove or exonerate themselves in a case like this?
My fear is this will set precedence for the nonsensical lawsuits we see abroad.

  2. looking says:

Hugging and pressing your body on someone for 20 seconds is surely a long time. Why didn’t this female yell out for help. Just saying.

  3. SHY CHICA says:

The man pleasded guilty therefore he is guilty no innocent man would say he is guilty if he wasnt there is no need for evidence.
