So what happens next? Well Minister of State Edmund Castro has sued Alverine Burgess, but she’s not fazed in the slightest. In fact, she says that she is prepared and even anxious to tell her story in Court, because it is the truth and she’s prepared to stand behind it. Burgess claims that when she met Castro it was in his office at the Ministry of Works in Belmopan. But she says she never went there alone.

“I am a Belizean by birth and I believe in God. And I know and Minister Castro knows that I had to pay him for every single visa application form that I handed him in his hand. I had to pay him two thousand dollars for each one and he knows that. And I know that and I am not making a false allegation. I am telling the truth and the sole truth.”

Look at what is happening with land in the Ministry of Natural resources. It takes high ranking officials to acquire a property. This is no small fry thing, like the PM alluded to in an interview he did in the USA. It takes the Minister to make the request, and to see it through to the end. Only they can flip a title so fast from one person to the other. Junior officers are not the one doing that, check all the head of section that document have to pass through before it reaches the commissioner’s desk. Using a poor man’s name like that, who doesn’t have a clue what his name is being used for is just tantamount to treason. Then we had the rose wood and now we have the visa scam. If we are not careful our sense of justice will become numb to corruption and it will seem like a normal everyday thing. This crowd should call election now, for they have totally disgraced Belize and us.

Whatever you do, please do not involve mi bredda because all he did was give the green light to Penner and Castro. He never really wanted any of the monies he got from Castro, but Castro insisted. Mi bredda is an innocent man.

The sad thing is maybe some of the story is true but what will happen to her when she is taken to court and the rest of the story doesnt pan out?
Will the people who are encouraging her to do this still be at her side??
In my personal view she is asking for fame but going about it in all the wrong ways.

In my books you are A hero alvarine you should be given the Medal of Honor or Betta yet confiscate all a thieving Castro bank accounts and distribute it to all the poor people and some to alvarine.
