Crime stats: major crimes up in August and September, but down in October

Crime statistics for the months of August, September and October have been released by the Belize Police Department, reflecting a decline in the number of homicides over the past three months.  A total of five murders were recorded during that period, twenty-four cases of burglary and three cases of carnal knowledge.  There were thirty-three cases of theft reported during that quarter, as well as ten cases of robbery.  Comparatively speaking, there has been a decrease in the number of major crimes committed during the month of October.  In August that figure was at a hundred and fourteen, in September one hundred and eleven and seventy-three last month.  Those numbers were considerably higher during the same period in 2012.

But only a fraction of these crimes are reported or Accounted for by those with badges.
From what I understand, from experience, the folks in uni-form are too busy with murder cases and ‘other stuff’ to get any attention. Many folks with ‘authority can’t even read or write too well. I should suppose that was by design, no?
    What do Uthink?
