Gardenia village says that someone beheaded his horse
A horse was killed and beheaded by an unknown person or persons in the village of Gardenia early this morning. The horse belongs to Gardenia resident Leslie Moody, who says that the animal is usually tied in his yard. But just after four this morning he found the horse’s body lying on the highway. He dragged the body off so that it would not obstruct traffic, and it was not until this morning that he found the horse’s head lying beside his neighbour’s fence. This afternoon a visibly distraught Moody told News Five that he does not have any proof of who did it, but he has a very good idea who it might have been.
Leslie Moody, Horse Beheaded
“I was in between sleep and wake and I heard a vehicle pass and ih mention horse. So I got up out of my bed and I know I had my horse tied at the back of my yard. When I got out of bed, I noticed that the horse was missing. So I came on the road and there I saw my horse lying down there. When I reached there, I realized the head was completely cut off. So the horse was actually—half was on the road—so I had to take it off to avoid other accidents. This morning after daylight, we found the head beside the fence there so I realize that somebody actually chop off mi horse head.”

“Did you find any injuries…the chopping of the neck; you find any injuries on the horse?”
Leslie Moody
“Yes I did. There is a hole in the neck like somebody take a long knife or a machete and shub it ina the neck and then the head chop off.”
Mike Rudon
“You have any idea who would want to do something like this?”
Leslie Moody
“To be honest, I don’t have no problem with nobody in this village. All I can say, I am a strict person. I have my family member and when they do things out of the way, I would be the one to correct them and I know there are a few family members that noh happy with me for that same reason you understand. So I don’t know, I don’t see, but I believe it is somebody close to my family weh do something like this to my horse. This is my horse that I use to do my everyday hustling and thing you know. Right now I need to go to Maypen to help with the animal dehn and dah the horse that I usually use. So they mess me up big time.”
Moody says he called the Police at seven this morning, but up to this afternoon they had not showed up to investigate.
Wow!
Animal Cruelty. These sickos need to be severely punished.
Sounds to me like he didn’t have his horse tied and it wandered unto the street where somebody hit it with his vehicle and out of frustration cut the horses head off. Its so frustrating when your traveling at night and people have their horses tied up close to the street and your not sure if they are tied or not.
this fool should have tied his horse properly. His negligence was responsible for the damage to a hard working farmer’s recently bought van! This was not a case of beheading in fact it was a accident, the farmer was on his way to sell his products when the horse was trying to get across the highway when the tragic confrontation occurred n damaged the van’s passenger sides windshield!!
