Belizean Body Builder wins international title

A Belizean bodybuilder has clinched an international title in the sport. Mister Belize, Rigo Vellos, won the top prize and title in the 2013 Revolution Cup Bodybuilding Competition held on Sunday at the annual Yucatan Festival in Xmatkuil, Merida. Vellos competed in the eighty kilo and over category besting other competitors. After advancing to another round, he beat established Mexicans such as Surizaday Alba Peña of Mexico’s “The Gym” and Isaac Acuña of “AM Gym”. According to a release, Vellos can claim the top title in one of Mexico’s most competitive competitions. Vellos has twice won the Belize Body Building and Fitness Federation competition. He trains at the Spartan Fitness Gym in Corozal Town.
