Justin Lacroix meets bail of fifteen thousand dollars
Justin ‘Ducky’ Lacroix, a promising young accountant, who was arraigned on Friday on fifty-eight counts of forgery, was able to meet bail today after spending the weekend at the Belize Central Prison. Lacroix, part of a ring which allegedly misappropriated a hundred and eighty thousand dollars from the Radisson Fort George Hotel, reportedly participated in the cashing of fraudulent checks over a thirteen-month period. With the collusion of a former payables clerk, they were able to enter invoices into the system which copied those of established traders. The checks would then be written and redeemed at a charge. Today, before Chief Magistrate Anne Marie Smith, Lacroix met bail in the sum of fifteen thousand dollars and is due back in court on January sixth, 2014. While it was reported that two other persons were also detained by authorities, they have not been charged. A former employee of the Radisson is believed to have been the mastermind behind the scheme, but is now nowhere to be found since it is known that he is far away in the U.S.

One payables clerk did this for 13 months duplicating invoices without the senior accountants or financial controller or manager even getting a whif? Whats up with the Radisson system?
