Police arrest and charge one of its own for the aggravated assault of a minor
A police officer attached to the San Ignacio Police is tonight in big trouble following a report by a minor that he assaulted her. A fourteen year old student in the company of her aunt went to the San Ignacio precinct and made the report. The child claims that last Saturday morning, while sleeping on a bed with her cousin and the officer, sometime around four-thirty a.m., she was awoken by someone touching her private part. When she opened her eyes, she claims that it was twenty-eight year old Rupert Thomas that had touched her inappropriately. Police have since arrested and charged Thomas for the crime of Aggravated Assault of an Indecent Nature.
