P.M. lashes out at Opposition for criticizing allocations of Christmas Cheer

And with the nuts and bolts of the program out the way, the PM lashed out at the Opposition for daring to criticize the allocations of Christmas cheer. The People’s United Party has gone on record to criticize the program on two levels – one, that U.D.P. representatives are receiving ninety thousand dollars for their constituencies while P.U.P. representatives are receiving only twenty-five thousand. And two – the P.U.P. roundly condemns the fact that unelected U.D.P. caretakers will also partake in the Christmas cheer, twenty-five thousand dollars worth. The Prime Minister has made no apologies for the allocations, and more than that, today he went on the attack, with the Opposition as the target.

“We are the government and I don’t see how they can complain if indeed we are able to do rather more than they are. What they should know is that when they were on this side of the House and we were on that side of the House, we never received a single penny. They take everything for themselves. And finally, with respect to our caretakers, ninety thousand goes to the constituencies that we represent; that is a charge to give fifty thousand dollars to the constituencies they represent. These people are agents as it were, appointed by the government—our caretakers—and we make no apologies for that. And we recollect for example with respect to that same Venezuela housing money when for example with respect to Fort George, remember somebody called Francios Chebat? Not caretaker, I don’t know who he was. I think maybe the chairman of the committee; he was giving out cash money in terms of what were in fact taxpayers’ funds. So please, please put the hypocrisy to an end and salute this government for doing all that it is for the people of Belize.”
The PM also took time to repeat an accusation he has made before…that members of the Opposition pocket the funds which they are given monthly to assist their constituents.
Instead of giving the people a fish why not give them a fishing line. So what happen when the Xmas cheer is finish?
PM why the f**k are you giving crooks money to spend. Maybe you don’t know, but if you don’t, let me tell you how it’s done. These crooks make bargain with the seller to inflate the price of the product actually supplied and inflate the number of the product actually supplied, because out of the $90,000.00 they have to end up with at least fifty thousand dollars for their own pocket. When the supplier is paid for the inflated product, and the inflated number of product suppllied, these madaeffers then ask the supplier to take out of the over payment a percentage for himself or herself, and the rest of the money is then given to person who made the bargain. That is why the shop supplier is always happy, because he get paid for products he never supplied and the crooks get thousands of dollars for their scheme. Don’t come to us with this stupid idea that I didn’t give them the money, so no thieving the go on. That is the same way they steal when gas is supplied, and when auto parts are supplied. It is happening in the pantry program too. How do you think the pantry supplier can suddenly build bigger shops, when they are only making five and ten cents profit on groceries. Why the hell will Penner or any one get our hard earn tax dollars to continue stealing from us? Can you enlighten us?
I am sure the PM know this is the way the money is stolen, but he might just want to line these crooks pockets with more money so come election time, he don’t have to go into the UDP coffers to give them campaign money.
