…..And addresses a major headache; the streets
The streets have been a major headache for the Belize City Mayor. Mayor Bradley says that the concretization of streets, which is part of the Municipal Development Project, have been set back by a few weeks as a result of incessant rains. Streets that have been designated for repair work on the south side remain on schedule.
Darrell Bradley, Belize City Mayor
“We have already commenced some of these works, but what we have done is because we have been beset by three weeks of continuous rains, we’ve had had to redirect some of those resources to stockpiling hardcore material in patching a lot of streets and fixing just the general condition of streets in Belize City. So we started some of those works but we want to refocus that on January sixth and then we will finalize those so that I think that by March, all of those streets will be completed.”
The mayor concluded his press conference by reassuring Belize City residents that the garbage situation will be resolved in the New Year.
Belize has been fixing the streets for 60 yrs now and still can’t get it right when will you belizeans wake up and stand up and say enough is enough half the monies is going into people’s pockets and then the other half is used to do patch work I tell you am beginning to realize that belizeans are just plain cowards never standing up to the corruption. Pitiful pitiful unu belizeans pitiful.
