Cops bust five weed plantations north of Bomba
Most of us may have spent Labour Day relaxing but on the old Northern Highway police were busy putting a major dent in the nation’s marijuana supply. Between three thirty and six on Monday afternoon the cops raided five weed fields located in an area five miles north of Bomba Village in the Belize District. According to an official press release they destroyed fifty-one thousand plants, ranging in height from one to seven feet in height and also seized sixty-three pounds of dried herb ready for distribution. As usual, no one was found in the vicinity and no arrests were made.
