Belize City Mayor says Castro cheques scandal is distasteful

Cabinet has issued its official proclamation on the Castro check situation, basically exonerating the U.D.P. Minister of State from all-wrongdoing, but asking the BAA Board to resign. But today, Belize City Mayor Darrell Bradley was not as forgiving. Bradley says that the issuing of checks by the BAA to Minister of State Edmond Castro was unfortunate, and to borrow a word from his Prime Minister, distasteful.

Darrell Bradley, Belize City Mayor

“No government can perform effectively unless there are principles of good administration; unless the people at the very top adhere to the highest levels of ethical conduct. It’s something that is distasteful; it causes a scourge on the administration, on the U.D.P. on a hold. I am a U.D.P.  I want to know that every single member of my party is doing things on behalf of members of the public and we don’t really get side tracked by these allegations. We are doing a lot of work in the city. The central government is doing a significant amount of work both in the city and country wide. And I think that these things really just detract from the good work of the U.D.P. and it is very unfortunate and I think that, that is very distasteful.”

    yes very distasteful!

    No honor amongst thieves.

He is supposed to share with the UDP minor thieves. trickle down theory of thieving. They might rat you out Honorable Cabinet Minister Castro. Fortunately cabinet did not take away your vehicle or ask for a refund. Now that would cut into your booty time.

While this Mayor talks about throwing his hat in the ring for higher office, he still has unfenished business to take care of. How could he not know what Changs role is in the Kim scandal. Did he not investigate for himself. I do not see a difference between him and Barrow. If Bradley cannot deal with this small arm of government, how will he handle a larger slice of government?

This country is in deep trouble, the uneducated population that they have to choose from is disgraceful.

Come next election, the UDP will give you $20 each and you will vote for them again.
