…Meanwhile his nephew’s killer remains at large

Unfortunately, the events of Tuesday night would subsequently trigger a deadly reprisal by members of the George Street gang, resulting in the callous murder of twenty-five-year-old Tarique Cadle.  While Jason Williams has been arraigned for the shooting of Kariq Tzul and Andrew Tate, no one has been detained for the murder of his nephew. Cadle was gunned down around nine-thirty on Wednesday morning, reportedly in retaliation for the shooting of Tzul and Tate. As we said earlier, Williams is the uncle of Cadle and lived on Supal Street, but would routinely be in the area of Plues Street where he was killed. It is not known who pulled the trigger, but Cadle was shot to the thigh and head and died on the spot near a vat behind a house. Cadle’s sister, Kassian, says that her brother’s life was taken innocently.

“Don’t end someone’s life innocently as that. you guys don’t think out there. You guys don’t think at all. Try to find the person that you are looking for. If you and this person have conflict, solve the conflict with that person; don’t try to kill someone else for somebody else’s mistake or something that they did. Things don’t work like that. If everyone would think about their life, and think how to…or try to talk it out, communicate with each other, life would have been different. But some people just think out of mindless behavior and it is sad to know that they think like that.  I believe, most people in the environment knew what happened, but because he is a member from around the Supal Street area and with what happened last night, no one will say anything. Like I said, people don’t think positive around here. They won’t try to stop something bad from happening. So people just suck it in, be quiet; most of the time, they don’t even look at what’s happening. They try to hide their face from seeing what they are supposed to see and report. But they don’t do that. They close their eyes, cork their ears from not hearing or seeing what’s happening. The strong part of me is saying move on and to call it life, but the weak part of me is asking; why he didn’t listen. I cannot ask the gunman, the person that killed him, why they killed him because it was off of revenge, but I would have asked my brother, why didn’t he listen to my family members when they told him…not to go around George Street, not to go around Plues Street, but he refuses to listen to them and you see? He went there and that’s where he died this morning.”
