Belizean wins South Florida University’s Miss International Pageant

There is some positive news to report tonight and that is that Belizean Jacinta Gomez won the annual University of South Florida Miss International Pageant this past Sunday. It is the first time that a Belizean has clinched the title of the pageant which is organized by the Caribbean Community Exchange at the University. Jacinta says, (Quote) “I never would have imagined participating in a pageant but saw it as an opportunity to put my beautiful jewel on the map and to educate the USF community about what we have to offer as a country, as a people. I had a blast representing my country on the stage and in doing so achieved what I had set out to do. This one is for Belize. (Unquote) Jacinta is the daughter of Marie and Andy Gomez.
