A new justice appointed to the Supreme Court
The appointment of a new justice to the Supreme Court is imminent. Justice Sonya Young of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines arrived in the Jewel on Tuesday and was today given a tour of her the Supreme Court buildings by Registrar, Velda Flowers. The newly appointed judge will be sworn within the next two weeks. Justice Young is replacing Judge Rita Mae Olivette. Up until April fourth of this year, Justice Young worked as the Chief Magistrate at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court in Saint Vincent.

When will this foreign, black, recolonization of Belize end? Barrow is in hog’s heaven now; he has arrived. Belize City is the black enclave that secede from the rest of the country. It is irrational to keep bringing these Caribbean and African jurists to Belize to adjudicate cases here when we have our own home grown jurists. What gives? Just Barrow’s racism?
You’re still calling Belize the Jewel? No kidding?
This person better not cross Ali.
The purpose of Belizean courts is rubber stamping Ali’s whims.
Then everything will be happy and in order.
Unfortunately, this is not a happy event, because a Belizean was not hired for this position.
