Shooting in San Pedro
San Pedro Police are at a standstill, following a shooting incident on Thursday night. Reports are that sometime around nine p.m. six gunmen fired several shots at the Campos family residence in the San Juan area of the island. While no one was at home at the time, police say that a bullet hole was observed on the windshield of a golf cart and on the western side of the house. The shooters reportedly fled the scene on board a boat that was waiting in the lagoon. According to police, the Campos family is not cooperating with them; however, the isolated case is believed to be drug related. Recovered from the scene were twelve expended nine millimeter shells; no one was in the area at the time of the shooting.
