Matron Roberts stands out as the number one NHI provider
Today, the Ministry of Health held a special ceremony to acknowledge the efforts of the administration and staff of the Matron Roberts Polyclinic Two. That’s because the facility, which consistently receives high marks, has obtained the highest scores as an NHI Primary Care provider for 2013 – one hundred percent in facility assessment, services, health team and equipment. It’s big news, and stakeholders were all smiles at the ceremony held in Belize City.

“Today we are grateful for the award given to Matron Roberts Polyclinic Two. I would like to express my sincere thanks first, foremost and most importantly to our staff. This award is for you all. We are also grateful for our partners who have worked with us to promote the continual growth of our clinic. We truly appreciate your dedication.”
Peter Allen, C.E.O., Ministry of Health
“It’s really remarkable what Matron Roberts has achieved because of necessity; we constantly challenge our public officers to do more with limited resources. Remarkable because while seeing nearly fifty-five thousand patients in 2013…let me say that again ladies and gentlemen…fifty-five thousand patients in 2013 alone increase from thirty thousand in 2009 and offering services from consultations, pharmacy, laboratory, from perinatal services to wound dressings; immunization and pap-smears. With all of this, the staff of the Matron Roberts Primary Care Provider Clinic has proven that they can rank as high or higher than any other clinic—private, public or NGO in the country. A round of applause please for the Matron Roberts Primary Care Provider Polyclinic Two.”
Special recognition was also given to Dr. Melissa Diaz-Musa for her contributions to the Polyclinic.
