There’s a shortage in Bowen & Bowen glass products

There have been mounting complaints from various businesses across the country that there is a scarcity of Bowen and Bowen products. The complaint is that alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in glass bottles have not been available at the company’s distribution centers or from the pre-sellers, who are part of the new system implemented earlier this year. But today, the beverage company addressed the media on the changes that have been causing what they say is a sporadic shortage in their glass bottle products only. But does that mean that you won’t be able to get a mouthful of your Belikin beers and stouts? Internal Legal Counsel & PR Officer for the company, Christelle Wilson says that the shortage is because the company has been upgrading their bottling line.

“We are upgrading the returnable glass bottling line so what we had to do is we did need to slow down production so that we could make space for this new line. It is really groundbreaking; we are installing new equipment, we have new equipment coming in and in an effort to ensure that we maintain the quality standard in our products that we produce, we had to slow down this line and get ready to bring down the new line.”

“What is happening in terms of this production line? What products are currently not on the shelves at the volume that you would have wanted it?”

Christelle Wilson

“Okay, I’m going into a little bit detail with the equipment that we are changing. We do have equipments like the bottling line, the washer, etc. that we are bringing in a bottling line to the place. so what we have done right now to meet the growing demand of products—because we haven’t really slowed down production per say to say that we are not producing as many products as we are used to, but the growing demand that has increased. The beverage industry has now expanded a lot more people drinking water, drinking soft drinks, drinking our diet sodas. So what we had to do is because the line was producing so much to try and reach the demand, it started to…you know after a while things start to get wear and tear, they slow down. So to ensure quality is maintained, we slowed down the production on the bottling line. So we are not producing as many glass products—the soft drinks in the glass bottles—but you can still get all your favorite beverages in our plastic bottles: your sprite, coke, fanta, orange fanta; which one you like Duane? Red fanta?”

“So it is only your nonalcoholic beverages that have been affected? What about your beers, stouts, etc?”

Christelle Wilson

“Everything that comes on the glass line. Everything that is produced in a glass bottle, we’ve had to slow down the production of those products, so you will be experiencing a shortage of those products maybe up until June, the end of June which is when we should have our lineup and working.”

Please ask your truck drivers to quit driving so fast on highways with loaded liquid cargo-its hard to stop if there is a break and I have personally had some near misses with those idiots. A lawsuit will surely find bowen in due course-mark my word-its only a matter of time as whoever is in charge of monitoring drivers has lost control.
