“He has every right to take this into a lawsuit for discrimination. I don’t know if he will do that because I don’t think that he is that kind of person in terms of somebody to rise up and fight, but there is no doubt whatsoever that he has been victimized. And all I want to say to the people of Belize is get ready because this is what we have been saying for the last two to three years. They have a long list of things that they want to do and one of the things that they are pushing for and they have the prime minister’s wife pushing for them concerning hate crime and hate speech and that means anyone of us that were to speak out to them, you are going to find yourself in jail. We use the analogy of let’s say the medical doctors come out with a report that smoking is not good for you and causes lung cancer and then the tobacco industry and the cigarette industry comes against and they are trying to suppress that report and threatening of this person, of these medical persons being removed for bringing out the facts behind smoking. That is exactly what’s taking place in this situation.”
Stirm also warned that if this trend continues, many others will be victimized.
more and more cases will yet to come as simple as not wanting to bake a cake.
