Belize City woman accused of stealing thousands of dollars from former employer

Marcia Marie Gillett

Belize City resident Marcia Marie Gillett was today slapped with eighty-five counts of theft before Magistrate Hettie Mae Stewart. She is accused of misappropriating thousands of dollars from her former employer, the Feinstein Group of Companies. The charges took one hour and a half to read. No plea was taken since the matters will be dealt with on indictment. The police prosecutor did not object to bail, but he did ask the court to put conditions on that bail. With that, Gillett was granted bail in the sum of nine thousand dollars, plus a surety in the same amount. She has been ordered to sign in at the Queen Street Police Station every Friday and to surrender her travel documents. Her next court appearance is set for August first, 2014.

  1. Simon says:

You give them a job and they think they are entitled to more just because they see you making some money. Little do they know there are much bigger bills to pay and her future employment is now jeopardized forever as Belize is small and everyone will know you are a thief forever
