Christian Ebanks…is he also wanted by the U.S.?

Christian Ebanks

On Monday night, we showed you part one of an exclusive interview with Christian Ebanks. Ebanks, who also goes by the name Floyd Ebanks Jurado, is wanted in Ecuador for the 2011 murder of Alejandro Martín Teófilo, which occurred on Puna Island in the Guayas Province of his country of birth. While Ebanks was unable to comment on the circumstances of the murder, the businessman said that his lawyers have been dealing with the matter and that this is a second attempt to have him extradited to Ecuador. The extradition request by the Ecuadoran Government came on the heels of Ebanks’ detention almost a month ago, on May fourteenth, at the home of his newlywed wife in Belize City where an unlicensed firearm was discovered in a stove. Who tipped off the gang suppression unit about the gun has led Ebanks to believe that he was set up. News Five has since been reliably informed that called was placed to Crime Stoppers Belize which led the GSU to wife’s house. But the U.S., according to Ebanks, was also tipped off and within an hour, they also questioned him. In part two of the one on one with Ebanks, he says the U.S. had the wrong man.

Christian Ebanks, Charged for Firearm Offenses

“The US has no interest in me; the US was basically led on a wild goose chase when this whole thing occurred. What’s funny is that it happened simultaneously to all this. They told me that they were working off information that I was a wanted person. And then they showed me a document and they looked at me and said, well we know for a fact that it is not you because the person they were looking for was a sixty year old man who was born in the 1950s. I was born in the 1970s. The gentleman is taller than I am, over six feet tall, and he has blue eyes which of course I don’t have. So it just goes to show that there was a repetition. Had these things happened the day after, two three days after, but they happened so simultaneously that it looks like somebody purposely did this to discredit me, to get me in trouble, to scandalize me. This is the next step; the next step is to basically clarify things, to put into play a scenario where people get the proper information. The family ties to the media house that made this so grand. The missteps that were done, the omissions that were done from protocol; the rules of Belize clearly states that people in the house should have been charged. I am in the process of filing a divorce at the current moment and I was before the incident happened, a week prior to that had already spoken to my attorney, Oscar Sabido, to create, to see what I could have done to have gotten out of my marriage and then this happens. So for me, it is very speculative; it is very leery. It is a situation now that I have to bring forward, I have to explain so that I can move forward with my life. The next step is basically going forward and saying you know what, I have to continue living; I have to put my business back up. I have to go on.”

Ok. Why is this man allowed air time? He is wanted in Ecuador for murder! That’s not some petty crime? And on top of that he served time in the US too. And we see HIM as a legitimate businessman?? What has Belize come to? Its no wonder many of us don’t want to come back home! This nonsense is shameful. As for what this man has to say? Who cares. He has ZERO credibility! Just Google Floyd Ebanks Jurado and you find his record, he was a criminal long before the gun charge. Its no surprise he has a gun.

This man is an Idiot!! On Monday night newscast he said that he had just moved in with his wife four days prior to the arrest. But on this second portion of the interview he says that he talked to his lawyer a week before the arrest about getting “out of the marriage”. Why would he move in with his wife if he was thinking about a divorce?? This does not make sense. As a matter of fact nothing he has said in any of the interviews makes sense!!! Why is he even allowed to come on air?? Then it seems like all he wants is for his wife to get charged because he keeps on stressing that “protocols were not followed”. In my opinion he is guilty as ever! I feel sorry for the wife!

Come on . It’s embarassing. Why do you even show this “exclusive” interview? It’s free public relations for him and ask him nothing about whether or not he would go back to Ecuador to face his charge or mistake. you don’t even ask him about the crime.
