Cycling Hopes Derailed by COVID-19 Test Results
Some cyclists who were set to represent Belize in the Dominican Republic this week were unable to join the larger delegation when they tested positive for COVID-19. News Five has confirmed with the President of the Belize Cycling Federation, Orson Butler that the delegation of thirteen cyclists heading to the Dominican Republic all tested negative using the rapid test. But due to the international event standards, when PCR tests were taken, four of those tests came back positive. The cyclists were unable to continue on to the event. While many names are circulating on social media, News Five is respecting the privacy of those who have the virus.
