Cayo Ambulance Breaks Down…No Petrocaribe Money to Assist

Monday was nomination day, and newscasts focused on the shows put on by both camps as their candidates did the deed. We’ve shown the highlights, but there’s another one which didn’t make the news, one that is extremely pertinent in this time of Petrocaribe plenty. On Monday, as PUP supporters waited for Cayo North candidate Richard Harrison to be nominated, the Cayo ambulance pulled out from the gas station nearby, and stalled. We know we shouldn’t take a bad thing for a joke, but while the Petrocaribe money is no doubt rolling in the red hills of San Ignacio, this ambulance wasn’t…rolling, that is.

{Footage of ambulance being pushed…}

We note, for the sake of context, that even while the Petrocaribe money has been rolling around in political quarters, there has been an increasing cry for help from the health sector, which lacks many of the most basic necessities – like decent ambulances, for example.

    Yep, keeping the sheeple happy is more important than health care

    You mean the Twin Town Taxi Ambulance Service. Because this
    is all this ambulance is used for….to ferry around UDP cronies.
    All at the expense of taxpayers.
