Belizean-born British Soldier Accused of Sexual Offenses in the UK

Belizean born soldier Lee Busano is making headlines in the UK. The twenty-eight year old British Lance Corporal has been accused of two rapes and one sexual assault. Two of the alleged incidents happened within days of each other, while the third one happened some months later. When Busano appeared in Preston Crown Court a few days ago, he denied all three allegations. The victims recounted the encounters with the British soldier, however, saying that he overpowered and sexually attacked them after they rejected his advances. The women described Busano as cold, physically strong and remorseless- saying that he laughed and told them that he can do anything.  The first attack dates back to March 2014 and it happened at the home of the alleged victim. The prosecutor in the case told the court that the soldier was able to control his victims ‘not only physically, but verbally and emotionally’.
