Who Stole Surgical Equipment from Corozal Hospital?

While the operating theatre is no doubt a boon for the hospital, there is already a black cloud hanging over its opening. About a week ago one of the surgical units slated for use in the operating theatre was stolen. It’s believed to be an inside job, and Police are investigating.

“About a week ago, one of the surgical units—it costs about twenty-two thousand dollars—went missing and that is sad because it is the same people that will be using the hospital that doing this mischief. I don’t know what was the reason, but this is only a tool that can be used in an operating theatre. I am asking the public, publicly asking them, that if anybody comes to try and sell one of those units to please report that to the police because it is sad, it is sad.”

Reporter

“So it was basically stolen by one of the employees?”

Pablo Marin

“Yes definitely it was stolen. We don’t know who it was. We already report that to the police. We are asking again to the public if they know anything to please come up and tell us.”

Reporter

“Under which circumstances was is stolen? Was it just lying there?”

Pablo Marin

“As you see, everything is right at the operating theatre. People are working, doors are open, the windows are open because it was people coming in and out and we don’t know who exactly did it. Maybe they left the door open at night; we don’t know exactly what happened.”
