Belizeans Busted in a Gang Sweep in the U.S.

There are reports tonight that U.S. immigration agents have arrested more than one thousand suspects and have charged them for attempted murder and witness tampering in an anti-gang sweep. The operation called Project Shadow was aimed at international gangs operating in the Los Angeles, Atlanta, San Francisco, Houston; and El Paso, Texas areas, according to the immigration officials. Among those arrested are Belizeans suspected of being involved in gang activity, but the specific number is not known. The operation lasted five weeks and targeted criminal organizations linked to drug trafficking, murder and racketeering. Nine hundred and fifteen were cross-border gang members and associates, reports Reuters.  An overwhelming number had links to notorious groups such as MS-Thirteen, Sureños, Norteños, Bloods and several prison-based gangs. Nationals from Mexico, Spain, El Salvador, China, Jamaica, Guatemala, Honduras, the Philippines and other countries were among those in the criminal ring. Here’s a report from Reuters.

Thats what we need here at home. But it will never happen as the gangs have too much info on high social Belizean elites who are involved.
