Commonwealth Secretary General Arrives in Belize

Baroness Patricia Janet Scotland is the Secretary General of the Commonwealth. She arrived today in Belize on a first visit since her assumption of the post. It is also her first stop in an official tour of the Caribbean countries who are members of the Commonwealth.  Scotland’s schedule includes a call on the Prime Minister and other senior government officials, as well a visit to the Office of the Organization of American States (O.A.S.) in the Adjacency Zone.  A government release says Baroness Scotland has always been a friend of Belize. Beyond that, Belize has maintained historic relations to the Commonwealth which is headed by the Queen.  There are fifty-three countries that make up the Commonwealth

  1. Ricky Malthus says:

Britain formed the Commonwealth to continue its slavery and oppression of Africa, the Caribbean, et cetera. Why would anyone want to continue to belong to this shameful organization? Only the Barrows, Colville Young and that type would continue.

  2. Teddy Steinway says:

Queen Elizabeth II of Belize… Nuff said

  3. Steve says:

What does the Commonwealth serve us for? Nothing! England doesn’t even stand up for us in this mess they left us with. Their priority is their commerce with Guatemala and pleasing the U.S. It makes no sense being part of the Commonwealth if this is their stance. Away with the Commonwealth!!!
