Barbados Receives 100,000 Vaccines from India

As we reported earlier in the newscast, India’s vaccine diplomacy continues in full swing. Barbados Prime Minister Mia Mottley has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the hundred thousand Oxford Astra Zeneca vaccine doses. In a letter to PM Modi, Mottley said, “on behalf of my government and people, I wish to express gratitude to you, your government, and the people of the Republic of India for the most generous donation of the Covishield vaccine.” India is expected to supply at least sixteen million doses to at least sixty countries by March. Barbados received the vaccines on Sunday. Here is a clip from our colleagues at Caribbean Week Review.
