Neisa Pipersburgh, recent graduate of Pallotti High School, murdered

It was a weekend of carnage; a well known cyclist was murdered in Belize City on Sunday night and a laborer was stabbed to death in Dangriga, we’ll have more on this later in the newscast. But on Saturday morning, Neisa Pipersburgh, who had gone missing since last Wednesday was found dead, she had been murdered in a most horrific way. The body of the young and energetic Pallotti graduate was located at mile six on the Western Highway.  Her death has sent shock waves across the community in particular among the students and faculty of her alma mater. We have detailed coverage of her murder and we begin with News’s Five Isani Cayetano’s report from the high school where a memorial service was held this morning.

Isani Cayetano, reporting

The body of nineteen year old Neisa Pipersburgh was found on Saturday morning after she was reported missing on Wednesday of last week.  Due to the advanced state of decomposition an autopsy had to be performed on site and Pipersburgh was buried at the Lord Ridge Cemetery later that afternoon.  Today students and faculty of her alma mater to held a memorial in her honor.  The recently graduated class of 2010 at Pallotti High School was back on campus this morning in their uniforms where they gathered inside the auditorium to pay tribute to one of the school’s more popular faces.  Also present at the assembly were a host of social activists including Belize City Mayor Zenaida Moya-Flowers and Yolanda Shakron.  Seated in the front row was Alice Williams, the grieving mother of the slain student.  Following the service she told News Five about the discovery of her daughter’s body near Barton Canal.

“Saturday when I went up to [uhm] the bridge area where Neisa’s body was found when I first arrived there the police who were out there they didn’t want me to go out to the back by the waterside because the police were doing their investigation.  So [uhm] my cousin who took me up he called I think it was Inspector Grinage was the one who was behind there and Inspector Grinage said for me to come and the police let me through.  I went up there and upon first seeing the body, I know it was my child, but you know you still get that, had that, want to have that hope that it wasn’t her because I noticed the clothing.  It was the said clothing that I left her in.  When I said “the said clothing that I left her in”, the said clothing, she still had on the little [uhm] tee shirt type top with her tights and then she had on a pants with a gold belt over it and the state that I saw my daughter in was every time I close my eyes up to now I’m still seeing that.  That is what I’m seeing and [uhm] I walked around the body.  I just kept walking around and I was saying “no man dat noh look like she, dah person look white” you know, so the policeman said well the first layer of skin had already peeled off he said.  So and then I start continue walking around and then I looked at her toenails and she still, there was still evidence of the green nail polish there and [uhm] I kept walking and I told the policeman I said she had in a track of weave in her hair.  So the policeman he took a scissors that was found in the sheet where she was and he pulled the weave and he said yes the track of weave is here.”

According to Williams her daughter had recently ended a relationship with a police constable but was believed to have been receiving threatening text messages from someone else.

“I know she use to date one P.C. Gamboa.  She break it off, but upon talking to her friends I understand why she did that.  I understand why she was silent with a lot of things because her life was threatened.  I didn’t know—she didn’t come to me.  She came to me the first time she was threatened by this said individual that I am suspecting, not the individual who they have in custody.  The individual that I personally and I have a gut feeling and I am sure that is the said individual and because I went to this individual.  And the whole thing that is so fishy about this whole thing with the disappearance of Neisa, the  morning when me and Neisa were outside in the yard and she was taking care of her poodles, the person passed slow, slow, slow, very dark tinted glass, passed slow, slow, slow.  Like something came to my mind but you know you just dismiss it.  Anyway, I dismissed it, but that said individual the next day I went to that individual and I asked that individual “Have you spoken to Neisa?  Have you heard anything about Neisa?  Do you know anything about Neisa?  Oh I haven’t talked to Neisa.  I don’t know anything about Neisa.  [Uhm] Neisa change ih phone number and I noh know, me and Neisa noh talk long time and this, that, tara and yet when I went to B.T.L. and pulled Neisa calls, the call history he was texting Neisa.  They were texting each other back and forth from nine-o-three to nine-forty-six.  Now that made me suspicious.”

Williams said she forwarded the information to CIB head Julio Valdez but said that she was ignored because of a World Cup soccer match that was being aired at the time of her visit.  She also said that she was told that the person of interest would have been detained for questioning but is doubtful whether that happened over the weekend.  Today Neisa’s former teacher Ruben Moralez remembered his outgoing student.

Ruben Moralez, Teacher, Pallotti High School

“It’s a big shock, you know, for something like this to happen.  She was full of life and at the graduation itself just last Sunday.  I was talking to some of the people here; she was seated at the back and they were like the ones who enjoyed the graduation the most, singings, dancing you know.  She’s simply just a young lady with [uhm] full, full of life, very energetic.”

Belize City police have detained and are questioning more than one persons for the gruesome murder of the Pallotti graduate. Reporting for News Five, I am Isani Cayetano.

How many more young lives do we have to loose B-4 something drastic is done about the rampant criminals????? How Many?????????????

  2. J. Reid says:

my condolences to Alice Williams and her family.

  3. maddyvandijk says:

    My condolence to the family.

This is a loss to the belizean society.

Belize need smart kids like Neisa to change it’s future, and when important lives like this is cut short we must make it our business to find her killer and destroy him in every single manner.

What disturbed me even more is that the coward is out there watching, waiting, thinking that he will get away with this crime.

  4. Charlotte Yearwood Martin says:

I wish to offer my most sincere condolences and sympathy to Ms Williams and her family.

The 90% of decent, honest, law abiding policemen must start to shop their colleagues (rogue elements) within the force. Far from having trial by the web (innocent until proven guilty and all that) but if this policeman was sending threatening texts then that in itself should be a crime. This problem of rogue police must be addressed, its almost like we are legalising the criminals. The Mayor and PM must stamp out this from our police force because no one (including you both) will be safe until this is addressed. I want to see the harshest of punishment issued to policemen who break the law, as we have entrusted them to uphold the laws of this land.

It is shocking that the Ms Williams tried to report the crime earlier to the police who were too busy watching the world cup, as far as I know Belize isn’t even in the world cup. Moreover why were they watching TV in the first place, shouldn’t they have been working? Does these men and women in the force realise that they are there to serve this country? The tax paying public, the people who elected this government and what we want is dedication to fighting crime.

So now lets find this killer? Let’s get JUCTICE,for Neisa, Ms Williams and her family.

  5. Charlotte Yearwood Martin says:

I would like to commend channel 5 for respecting this young woman and her family, by giving her the dignity she deserves. I am happy to see that this time we were not subjected to images of the deceased. Let’s remember her as the beautiful young woman she was

Remember once the imagines are out there in cyber space, then its difficult and so the families can be subjected to these horrific images forever. Therefore this is definitely progress.

    Well done.

  6. Beverly Harris says:

This story breaks my heart. Belize City is too small to be overrun with crime the way it is. The problem is law enforcement. They have and are always too relaxed when it comes to acting on behalf of the safety of its citizens. Law enforcement needs to take action and stop reacting when the damage has already been done. Someone needs to come in and re-train the police force, the people of Belize need to demand more from the people they elect into office. There needs to be better laws and the laws need to be enforced no matter who is involved. Too much coruption in Belize, and the innocent civilians are the ones that suffer.

Belize may be beautiful, but very soon, no one will want to visit Belize for fear of their lives.
Invest in your country and its citizens, then and only then will you truly have a Beautiful Belize.

  7. Kim says:

Imagine, these men that we call police officers, ignoring that grieving mother when she brought info about the calls she pulled from BTL because of a world cup game. It really gets me so sad and angry to hear that on my tv last nite. Mr. Prime Minister, you better get your act together and try and do something abpolice can out those lazy cops we have here. Instead of the police trying to get right out there and start asking questions about this gruesome murder, they busy watching a game.
My opinion when it comes to this is try and post cameras at that mile 4 check point on the west hgwy and also at the junction with Hattieville and the road where the prisn is on. In an instance like this, police would review the footage and see if that grieveing mothers suspect was shown driving past those areas around he ime she diappeared. Cameras like those could really shed some light on who passes through there especially to go dump a body. Come on you lazy cops instead of brutalizing people out there for no reason, help this lady find her childs murderer.

  8. ALex says:

They need fo bring out the death penatly again fo mek them ppl learn. Hang nybdy who kill or a pedophile or some … cause i don’t see Belize getting any better. Things need to be done. This .. cant stay suh mien. Condolences to You Ms. Williams

  9. Elgin Martinez says:

What’s so sad about this incident is that this young lady’s mother knew that she had just end a relationship and was getting threats. So why wasn’t this information given to the cops when this young lady went missing?Smells fishy to me.

  10. Elgin Martinez says:

It wouldn’t be surprising to me that one of these cops are involved in this heinous crime against this young lady.

  11. CHRIST'S KID says:

This so very deeply saddens me. My sincere prayers and condolences to the family of the deceased. I feel a special connection, though I never knew the child, but am an alumna of Pallotti High as well, and a former neighbour of the Pipersburgh family.

Each day as I go online to read news of my homeland, I leave very grieved in heart and at the point of tears. This pushes me, though, to continue praying for my country and my people. At a distance, residing far from home, that’s about as much as I can do, but it is a lot. I believe in the power of prayer.

I applaud the efforts of the Pallotti High School community, led by the Principal, in the candlelight procession that was held in memory of Neisa. If only we could see much more of this, on the part of all the Christian churches—-the body of Christ—-coming together in solidarity and taking to the streets of Belize to proclaim the urgent message that Christ alone is the hope for our country. I leave you with the following from the Word of God:

    New Living Translation (NLT)
    Jeremiah – Chapter 2

Jer 2:1 The LORD gave me another message. He said,

Jer 2:2 “Go and shout in [the streets of Belize]: `This is what the LORD says: I remember how eager you were to please me as a young bride long ago, how you loved me and followed me even through the barren wilderness.

Jer 2:3 In those days [you were] holy to the LORD, the first of my children. All who harmed my people were considered guilty, and disaster fell upon them. I, the LORD, have spoken!’ ”

Jer 2:4 Listen to the word of the LORD, people of [Belize]!

Jer 2:5 This is what the LORD says: “What sin did your ancestors find in me that led them to stray so far? They worshiped foolish idols, only to become foolish themselves.

Jer 2:6 They did not ask, `Where is the LORD who brought us safely out of [bondage] and led us through the barren wilderness–a land of deserts and pits, of drought and death, where no one lives or even travels?’

Jer 2:7 “And when I brought you into a fruitful land to enjoy its bounty and goodness, you defiled my land and corrupted the inheritance I had promised you.

Jer 2:8 The priests did not ask, `Where is the LORD?’ The judges ignored me, the rulers turned against me, and the prophets spoke in the name of Baal, wasting their time on nonsense.

Jer 2:9 Therefore, I will bring my case against you and will keep on accusing you, even against your children’s children in the years to come. I, the LORD, have spoken!

Jer 2:11 … my people have exchanged their glorious God for worthless idols!

Jer 2:12 The heavens are shocked at such a thing and shrink back in horror and dismay, says the LORD.

Jer 2:13 For my people have done two evil things: They have forsaken me–the fountain of living water. And they have dug for themselves cracked cisterns that can hold no water at all!

Jer 2:17 And you have brought this on yourselves by rebelling against the LORD your God when he wanted to lead you and show you the way!

Jer 2:19 Your own wickedness will punish you. You will see what an evil, bitter thing it is to forsake the LORD your God, having no fear of him. I, the Lord, the LORD Almighty, have spoken!

Jer 2:20 Long ago I broke your yoke and tore away the chains of your slavery, but still you would not obey me. On every hill and under every green tree, you have prostituted yourselves by bowing down to idols.

Jer 2:21 “How could this happen? When I planted you, I chose a vine of the purest stock–the very best. How did you grow into this corrupt wild vine?

Jer 2:22 No amount of soap or lye can make you clean. You are stained with guilt that cannot be washed away. I, the Sovereign LORD, have spoken!

Jer 2:23 “You say, `That’s not true! We haven’t worshiped the images of Baal!’ But how can you say that? Go and look in any valley in the land! Face the awful sins you have done.

Jer 2:25 Why do you refuse to turn from all this running after other gods? But you say, `Don’t waste your breath. I have fallen in love with these foreign gods, and I can’t stop loving them now!’

Jer 2:29 Why do you accuse me of doing wrong? You are the ones who have rebelled, says the LORD.

Jer 2:31 “O my people, listen to the words of the LORD! Have I been like a desert to [you]? Have I been to [you] a land of darkness? Why then do my people say, `At last we are free from God! We won’t have anything to do with him anymore!’

Jer 2:32 Does a young woman forget her jewelry? Does a bride hide her wedding dress? No! Yet for years on end my people have forgotten me.

Jer 2:34 Your clothing is stained with the blood of the innocent and the poor. You killed them even though they didn’t break into your houses!

Jer 2:35 And yet you say, `I haven’t done anything wrong. Surely he isn’t angry with me!’ Now I will punish you severely because you claim you have not sinned.

Jer 2:36 “First here, then there–you flit from one ally to another asking for help. But your new friends … will let you down…

Jer 2:37 In despair, you will be led into exile with your hands on your heads, for the LORD has rejected the nations you trust. You will not succeed despite their help.

2Ch 7:14 [but] if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and heal their land.

2Ch 7:15 I will listen to every prayer made in this place…

I dont think the Williams family is in any situation to hear any negative remarks… Relax & give these people some respect they just lost a love one.. I cant stand people like you so negative & disgustin… Get a life… Do you even know whats is like to loose A child? No I dont so… so just keep your stupid comments to your self.. & bury your head in a Bucket Or take a cement block & tied it to your feet and just off swing bridge… Cause you are no help to society … Yes theres always two sides to a story but that dont means you should take someone elses life so cold… You dont even know the pain that poor young lady went through before shes died… Do you know hows its feels when you cant breathe, when you’re begging for your life? Silly think about that…

  20. pakal says:

I know exaclty how the family feels….I too lost a relative in an even more horrific way in Belize no too long ago. It is unfortunate that reports have been made, that the police would hesitate on acting on a murder investigation due to a WORLD CUP MATCH!!! Please, Belizean taxpayers, demand accountability!!! Let there be Justice for this passed-away young lady and her family…
LET THERE BE PEACE IN BELIZE!

  21. Janet says:

Police needs to take a picture of the sheet that Neisha was in and give it to the television stations in order for the nation to see; you will be suprise who will be able to identify who the sheet belong to. They also need to trace that phone card as the phone company can tell them which telephone number used the card. If at all possible preserve those plactic bags and send them out of the country in order to lift finger prints from them. I do hope that they preserved all the evidence that they got from the scene of the crime. We need to work together.

  23. Charlotte Yearwood Martin says:

Some people really lack social skills. Therefore I am sure he would be blissfully unaware of what he said that was so wrong, and possibly surprise that we even picked up on this. As far as he’s concern, he was merely contributing to a discussion. I can’t imagine that he gave any thoughts before making this inconsiderate statement, or about the potential distress it could cause a family in mourning.

I would hate to think that it was deliberate, because then that is just cruel.

  24. Mel C says:

MRS. JOHNSON IV YOU CAN LOOK BACK TO 1982 THE QUEEN SAID TO NOT ABOLISH THE DEATH PENALTY, HOWEVER THIS WAS DONE. ALONG WITH NO NEW POLICE BEING HIRED BY THE LAST GOVERNMENT YOUR GANGSTER ENVIRONMENT FLOURISHED. DO YOU CATCH THE SENSE??? LOOK AT THE VIOLENCE IN VILLAGE ELECTIONS!!!! CATCH THE SENSE???

  30. Tifarah says:

Its so sad to hear how this child died. Even if she was apart of life that was unknown to her family, the person or persons didn’t need to kill her especially in that way.

  31. egbert says:

The jewel is now a hell hole and TOTALLY out of control. Nobody in their right mind will visit belize.

Belize needs a MILITARY EXPERIENCED and EDUCATED leader, not just an educated leader as it currently has.

The prime minister should be asking for foreign help at this time. The crime situation in Belize is WAY OVER THE HEAD OF ANY GOVERNMENT, whether it is PUP OR UDP.

If foreign help is not sought, what is happening now will be remembered as minor crimes.

  32. mr.ok says:

chastie it is my opinion and i know y i say it go out at night and u see a lot of young girls parting and watever some things u see and say nothing most of Belize city men like young girls and spend money on them and so on it is obvious dont judge things i ve seen and know look aroun du and u see the type of life our young people are living if u child reach home with a i phone cost ove 1 gran wa u do wen she tells u her bf gave it her u smile and play it off think of it

  33. BELIZEAN PRIDE says:

    mr. o.k
it”s fine you make you point clearly and what you pointed out on your last comment on the iphone is exaclty the life our neighbour is going through. this teen 14yrs is going the same thing she bring things to her house that i mean how she got it. when her mom infront of us on the street side many time chatting asks her where she get it, all she says my friend gave it to me. now her mom i say has the fault she has let this two young girls to what they like when they like. now rumors around the neighbour hood is that she’s pregnant. now the mom avoids us for the reason X maybe it’s true but see the point Mr. o.k it’s the same reality in my barrio where i live. it’s really harsh but many time it’s a reality. we need to see and communicate with our teens. they are vulnerable to be brainwashed by offers of many eyecatching thngs that can but their lives at risk.
hope no disrespectto any one only commenting on my barrio stuff and the reality teens need to watch out along with parents guidance.

  34. Chami-Ka says:

Such a beautiful and intelligent younglady taken from us. My sympathies to her family. It breaks my heart to see such things happening to our youths. I really hope that the authorities thighten up and take the necessary action to bring back Belize to a crime free era.

Give the youths positive things to get involve with. It all starts at home. Parents need to spend time with their kids, take them to church, teach them the right way. Thereafter, the teachers should take it over. And of course the community by extension. We should be good role models. We never know who is watching so we must remain on the right track.

I cant recall where I saw this but I think its very powerful “Everyone is someone else’s loved one”. I would not like someone hurting my loved ones so I dont hurt others’ loved ones. I wish our youths would think this way. Our parents hurt when someone does us wrong, and sound parents hurt when we do wrong to others.

Youths, say no to violence. To the authorities, do your job. Our taxes pay your salaries. To the politicians, YOU WERE ELECTED TO SERVE OUR COUNTRY NOT TO GIVE YOU A CHANCE TO LIVE LARGE!!! Make legislation that protects lives, protects the citizens and visitors alike. Ensure that justice prevails. Lets take back Belize! God Bless us all!

  35. Lany says:

There is always two side to a story… however that doesn’t mean we don’t support the grieving family. But there is always two sides to a story. Come this is why we are in the state we are right now.We turn a blind in reality… Even the mother is saying she can’t believe the stories she is hearing about her daughter.

  36. tim says:

can’t she afford an attorney? private investigation? where there’s a will there’s a way.. but again we have the incompetent DPP!

  37. Charlotte Yearwood Martin says:

What I’ve realised is that there are some people refuse to be educated. I am sure Mr Ok, comes from a generation when two things occurred: 1) Do not speak ill of the dead and 2) There is a time and place (to utter such negative views) for everything. Its certainly not about censorship but its about respecting the girl and her family.

Unfortunately or perhaps fortunately for me, I cannot read the entire message as there are too many errors in grammar and punctuations. It is also unclear which language he wishes to blurt out his garbage. I generally feel that everyone who use this forum should respect each others opinions. However, this individual seems keen on tarnishing this young lady’s character by making statements with no evidence to bag it up (furthermore, even if he felt that there were evidence, no one is interested). I think it is only right that it is treated with the contempt it deserves.

A little piece of advice, if anyone feel so strongly that they have information relating to this (or any other) crime, why don’t you contact the police. We won’t solve it on the net. Only in Belize, in other parts of the world the police are the ones who usually have to do television appeals to get help in solving crimes. We are truly unique!

  38. Claude Carr says:

I see where Mr. Ok is coming from. I certainly don’t think he was was speaking ill of the dead, as I know he would support the view that there is nothing that this little child could have done to deserve such a death. Having said that I don’t believe for the life of me, that there are not persons out there, other than the killer(s) who know what happened with this child and not saying anything. I appeal to them to come forth. Even if it is they make an anonymous call to the police and give them the information. I would also like to take this opportunity to appeal to those persons who see suspicious activities relating to our young child, to report the matter to the police. Even if it is that the actions are being condoned by the parents. Call the police report the matter anonymously. Let us not wait for this to happen again. On the matte of police investigations, if it is true that those officers were watching world and refuse to attend to the mother of the child, this is out right wrong and the Commissioner should have some investigation done. There is the need as well for the GoB to invest now in forensics. I am, as many other Belizeans, tired of hearing that the cause of death is inconclusive due to decomposition. No fault of the doctor really as he can only do so much with what he has been given to work with. I invite everyone to join me in the call for the DNA equipment now.

  41. BZNinCALI says:

As parents we cannot be with our children 24 hours a day, whatever this child did or was doing while her parents weren’t looking, she did not deserve to be murdered. Until we realizes that pretending to be blind only makes us more vulnerable, we can expect more of the same. Older men/predators have always tried to bribe young women & men with stuff, sometimes successfully. Instead of running your mouths to each other & after someone gets hurt, knocked up or murdered, try giving the parents a heads up. Our children are no more dishonest than we were as teenagers, they just have more tools at their disposal & the village has to value & protect all of its children. No one is safe in a country where your life can be taken because you are a witness & violence, our only means to resolve disputes.

Forensic equipment is only as good as the operator, until we start hiring people based on their ability instead of their connections, we’ll continue to be frustrated.

  42. creole says:

Spend some money to get a proper forensic lab. Train new crime scene investigators that have nothing to do with the police force. We can not depend on eye withnesses anymore.
Put more police check points on the road and like one person suggested, with cameras that run 24/7. Make the check points toll areas also in order to generate some income to pay for some of this and upkeep of highways. If the investigators are separate from the police, then even if someone is setup by corrupt cops, the investigators with proper equipment should be able to take care of this. Im sure there are many 1st world countries that would gladly train these people for us. Belize was the only peaceful country in that region and im sure big brother UK or USA would like to see us fall away from that as it would not serve their agenda either. Also with setting up a forensic lab, we should also have anyone arrested be electonically finger printed so the lab can go back and look for matches.

  44. TRUTHFULLY says:

Good day all my Belizeans. First off, I have already personally extende my sincerest condolences to Ms. Williams at her home. However, some things need to be said.
I was filled with mixed emotions watching the news all this week in reference to the Neisa Pipersburgh case. First off let me say ‘mr. OK’, I completely AGREE with what you have said. It is an opinion that you have a right to express and I agree with. Second of all, those of you who all are ‘bashing’ ‘mr. OK’ for his personal opinion and his frankness, need to go back and watch the segment of the news where Ms. Alice Williams wrongfully accused the young lady who was staying with them, of having something to do with her daughter’s death. Has she considered how this has affected this young lady? Neisa considered her a ‘sister’! I personally only met her once, but she seemed nice.
Let me give you a little bit of information I am not sure I should even be giving. Here goes:
1.) I am a close friend of Neisa. I attend Palloti and while she was a year ahead of me, we became friends.
2.) Neisa and her mother were never close. Sorry Ms. Williams, but it’s true. Neisa told me that she was planning on moving out after she graduated high school. There were a lot of things Neisa was involved in that her mother didn’t know.
3.) Neisa had a lot of male ‘friends’. I know this because I too have benefited from the ‘gifts’ that she received from these ‘friends’, as did her mother! So when she is on news alkin all that crap, it UPSETS me! I know I was wrong, but when you come from a poor family and you are receiving things your parents can’t afford, you get tempted. This is the case for a lot of young girls at our school. People think that because you attend an all girls school you are rich. NOT SO!
4.) For the person who said about showing the sheets on TV and all that, and about forensic evidence, don’t worry police are close!
I AM TRULY SORRY, BUT THESE THINGS MUST BE SAID!!!
I loved Neisa and what we were doing was wrong; taking these gifts from these men. I have taken this as an example.
My advice to parents, pay attention to your children. Signs are all around and sometimes it’s just attention we want.
    RIP my friend.
    Truthfully…

    TO Truthfully,

I dont know if u are simply unsympathetic, heartless or jut plain cruel. THE WOMAN IS MOURNING THE LOSS OF HER YOUNGEST CHILD. LET HER GRIEVE IN PEACE. If you were a real and true friend of her daughter’s, you would’ve had more compassion and respect for your dead friend’s mom. You would have told Ms. Williams all this personally and in PRIVATE. I dont even believe you were a friend of Neisa’s as you seem to care more about how Mr. OK was bashed on this website!

  46. Babygyrl says:

I offer my sincere condolences to Ms Williams on the lost of her daughter…as a mother myself i believe it must be the most horrible feeling in the entire galaxy to lose a child. I have read the comments posted and i must say that i feel our PM wont do anything ever to help fix the corrupt police system in our country. I have seen many young men join the ‘FORCE’ who are active members of ‘gangs’ why do u think they joined?. …. i have seen prominent members in the police force sit down and eat in lowly restaurants with crime ‘lords’ of our little country……we so small everyone knows everyone in Belize…..why is it so hard to combat the problem of crime?government only talks cuz it has a mouth to do so….they don’t give a …t about us…they have their millions n make more by increasing tax…so much for lowering tax rates….But like what truthfully says i agree with her completely…i know the sisters went to school with them n the eldest aint no saint…..she had a lot of male ‘friends’ back in the day….sometimes our younger siblings follow our footsteps….but that was no way for a beautiful young girl with her whole life in front of her to die. i still cannot believe it myself….when will we as a nation stop complaining and actually take a stand? would we allow an intruder into our home night after night and only complain in the morning? no we wouldnt we would put a stop to it. n another thing….i read a letter in the amandala a while back stating that mothers are to blame for the crime situation ( yeah right) we do our best…but if women knew how to respect other women men wouldnt leave their wives and we wouldnt have broken homes….f….. there is a girl i know who knows the man is married and his wife pregnant n she still harass the man what is he to do? we know God made us women to have the babies n manage money and all that stuff cuz men incompetent….. so if we as women respect a home and another woman at that more men would be home to lend a helping hand in the raising of the children and keep an eye on them…single mothers can only do so much….Big up to all the single mammas out there…..SORRY for straying from the topic…..

I am sorry for ur loss Ms Williams I know that as a mother u could only do so much……God sees all and hears all n He never forgets……whoever harmed ur baby will get whats coming to them…revenge is not ours its the Lords…..

Whatever happened to IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO RAISE A CHILD I WILL NEVER KNOW

We need better police officers not toy police officers…..n maybe the government will actually do something when the reality of what we belizeans live each and every day reaches their home\

    RIP Neisa

    U are sadly missed

  47. ronzy says:

I agree with TRUTHFULLY, all these confrontations can be avoided. First of all I dont know what the murdered teen received or who she was with but murder is not the answer, no matter what. The only time to kill is self defense or protection of your family when cornered e.t.c. thats the reality. On a second note, anyone getting gifts or free services from someonelse must remember that its never free. Some people dont like to be played or avoided and take it real serious,so choose who, when and where you deal with someone. We have our whole life to get what we need and want, remember we cant have it all in one day. Again, murder doesn’t solve your problems it adds to it, even if it takes 10 years.

  48. Wheels of justice says:

    To “Truthfully,”

It sounds to me like you have inside information about this case that you should be sharing with law enforcement authorities. If you sincerely feel the need to purge or vent out, please visit the officers in charge of your friend’s case and tell them everything you know. Its possible you know more than you think and a well trained police investigator may be able to use intelligence and whatever little resources they have to build an iron clad case against this monster.

Make no mistake, the person who did this is a monster and the Police and the DPP need all the help they can get to build an iron clad case against this person. The last thing we want is for this monster to get off on a technicality, or due to lack of sufficient evidence, and is free to do the same to someone else’s child.

Unfortunately Belize is not Pleasantville, or Utopia, far from it. We will always have children less fortunate, more needy or hungry who are born to mothers who won’t win any ‘mother of the year award’ However, our children are innocent and they should not have to suffer the consequences. They deserve to live in a better and safer Belize.

‘Truthfully’, make no mistake, THERE’S NOTHING NEISA OR HER MOTHER COULD HAVE DONE TO DESERVE THIS! PLEASE RESPECT HER MEMORY AND HER GRIEVING FAMILY. Your friend suffered one of the most cruel death and Mr\.OK’s bashing, should be the least of your worries. DO THE RIGHT THING BY HELPING THE POLICE TO CAPTURE THIS CRUEL MONSTER, so that he can be placed somewhere where he’ll be no threat to society!

For the Family and Friends of Neisa

    TO HER ABOVE-NEISA

    Send her a message, God
Let her know of her family and friends continued love.
Let the wind carry their hearts to her above.
Assure her that their bond will ever be strong.
And that their hearts will forever sing her song.
Tell her they miss her, but that they’ve placed their love in Your trust.
Let her know that they’ll meet again; for their souls know they must.
Remind her that their parting is only temporary– and that their love for her will never go weary.
