Belize girls beat Panama in softball
There is other positive news to report tonight involving Belizean athletes. The Central American and Scholar Games for student-athletes between the ages of fifteen to seventeen got underway earlier today in Panama City. The Belize Rural High School located in the Belize River Valley area which is representing the jewel played its first game this afternoon against the host country, Panama. The game ended in a score of eleven to zero after four innings of play. The winning pitcher for the jewel was Ashley Lucas. The female team will play against Guatemala on Tuesday.
