From Guangzhou to Belize; visas please!
There’s another situation that is building up. Belizean passports are not the only hot commodities being sought by foreigners seeking a new identity. Years ago, the Government of Belize actually implemented an economic citizen program, which was viewed as the bucket sale of passports. While it legitimized what was once an illegal activity, the recent alleged Hezbollah associate, Rafic Labboun, showed that the practice has returned to its illegal roots. But visas are one of the hot commodities for foreigners. Improper background checks and mass issuances of visas have been parceled out to facilitate human trafficking to the United States. News Five has just received a copy of the manifest for a flight that originated out of Havana, Cuba, a route that was shut down when plane loads of Chinese citizens were being brought to Belize in 2010. That route is once again open, and on Wednesday October third, thirteen Chinese nationals took Aero Caribe flight 848 from Havana to Belize. 
They have been identified as seventeen year old Shuan Xiao, twenty seven year old Chi Lin, twenty five year old Wei Xie, seventeen year old Chao Chen, twenty year old You Wu, thirty seven year old Mei Yin Jiang, seventeen year old Hui Ming Chen, eighteen year old Lin Wen Chang, nineteen year old Hua Hui Yang, twenty year old Lin Cheng, twenty seven year old Ming Feng Chang, nineteen year old Lin Jian Wei, and twenty four year old Jing Jing Zheng. All the visas were issued and stamped on their passports in Belmopan at the Immigration Department. That is unusual because it means the passports made it into the country before the Chinese nationals. In the past, News Five has uncovered schemes involving victims from China, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Somalia and recently Nepal, all who have received Belizean visas to assist them in their travels from their homeland to Belize. Once in Belize, they disappear across the Guatemalan border where their journey to the United States continues.
I hope PEOPLE POWER can chase Hon. Melvin Hulse from office. He is either inept or corrupt. Or both. Either way, he can;t handle his office and must go NOW.
The good news is that the five million Belize passports sold will be able to payoff the super bond and give great bonuses and lifetime pensions to deserving corruption officers who work long hours.
The bad news is a new amendment will soon be passed by those 5 million new Belizeans citizens forcing all natural born citizens to be stateless and sent to refugee camps.
No! it means that someone in China has a Belmopan immigration stamp and for that matter immigration stamps for all port of entries. We don’t know how to govern ourselves because we have been a colonized people for too many centuries and have failed ourselves by not recognizing our self-worth. We are indeed a failed state as judged by such parameters as: economics, politics, social mores, legal system, educational and other (dys)functional institutional systems that exist.
How can this happen even WHILE investigations go on. regarding visa and passport scandals? This is just a total disregard for law and honesty! But I guess money plays a big role!
this UDP crowd will hussle openly for the nest thre years, they now it is highly unlikely to win a third term, and therefore the arrogance, victimization, croneyism and hussling will be rampant. just look at SEDI’s behavoir in Cayo, prior to elections he would never behave in that arrogant, pompous, despicable manner. brace yourself people.
Can`t the person who is facilitating this process in Cuba be touch? This has been going on for far too long.
People need to go to jail for treason starting with the pm and all his ministers well maybe not all but certainly the ones in charge of national security people this is treason in certain countries you are hung for treason why is their no one in jail it has to be that ministers are involved and don’t want to get caught up in the convictions. VISA IN HAVANA IS ISSUE BY BZE EMBASSADOR TO CUBA.. SAID GUERRA FROM BENQUE WHEN HE WAS IN CUBA HE ISSUED A LOT OFF VISAS.. BUT HE’S UDP SO PM DOESNT SAY A WORD & NOW HE’S BACK TO BZE. COME ON…. i’m with @Storm — immigration is a crisis today, so let’s start by chasing Hulse from office, and then move on to the next fool and so on. Belize needs more public protests and strikes in every city, town, and village, until this failed government falls. There’s a little momentum today, let’s create more.
