Sir Colville Young Music School Program receives donation from Taiwan
If that testimony of the K.H.M.H. staff warmed your heart, the next one will be music to your ears. The Sir Colville Young Music in Schools Program has received a generous donation from the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan). A cheque for sixty thousand dollars was handed over at Belize House in Belmopan on Friday to sponsor music classes at the Toledo Community College and Dellille Academy in Dangriga for one year. The project will introduce music, both theory and practical, to the students of the two southern districts with an aim to produce a marching band for each school. A music teacher at each school will also benefit from the donation, as they will receive training to ensure the sustainability of the marching bands. The cheque was handed over to Governor General, Sir Colville Young by Taiwanese Ambassador, David Wu.
Thanks to the people and government of Taiwan. They have been good friends of the people of Belize through thick and thin. I respect them.
I just hope that monies reach its destination. Seriously . The great majority of time it does not. For instance i recall last year the European Union gave a million dollars the belize government to give as grants to onion producers. of this monies less than 200,000 reached farmers the 800,000 was some where in the process lost through small farmers (burocracy, a group formed by government to disburst the monies to the farmers.)
This people need jail time, along with vega (mr not normal) he had direct handle with this monies.
