John McAfee’s life on the run has so many updates; it contains the stuff that was made for a reality television show. And it seems that concept may soon be fact. He has teamed up with Vice, an online magazine, who has been following him for a week, making a video documentary of his life. McAfee and his nineteen year old girlfriend, Samantha Vanegas, have crossed the border into Guatemala. McAfee has hired Telésforo Guerra, former Attorney General for the country of Guatemala, to be his attorney. On his blog, the former antivirus founder says he is willing to meet with the Prime Minister of Belize on neutral grounds in Guatemala to discuss corruption. We have a feeling that meeting may not happen, but here’s a snippet of that documentary in the making.

We have corruption, and I hate it as much as anyone. But McAfee’s run is not about that, it’s about escaping justice, pure and simple. While he was here, he was quite willing to immerse himself in drugs, girls, and corruption, including hiring gang-killers on his payroll and trying to intimidate half the island.

What a great anti-drug advert…..slap a recent photo of Mcaffee on a poster with the words “result of drug use” in LARGE words at the bottom. Great example, lose large portions of you fortune, end up in bed with dried up prostitutes while hiding due to extreme paranoia. Mcaffee, looks like your lifestyle de catch up with unu. You know about Karma….that thing that comes back to kick you. More direct than the anti-heroin adverts in the UK in the 80’s and 90’s.

Lol! This is rich! I do believe McAfee’s alter ego is a show biz entertainer! However, I don’t see what part of this episode fits into the PM’s schedule of meetings… and much less in Guatemalan territory!!!! I think he needs to go back and re-write his script or stick to software technology 🙂
Only in Belize can Mcafee be on the run with a fifteen year ,wanted for murder and has full internet access and a double mattress.
one this same news cast you can see the behavoir of the police with Zayne Galvez and an innocent bystander, police abuse and corruption blatant with impunity officially condoned. This is the same thing McAfee is saying, nothing else. there is corruption in the police force that needs to be adressed.
first the gangs ask for a meeting with barrow and was agreed by barrow with smiles, now McAfee wants a personal face to face meeting with barrow what the hell is going on. so become a criminal and you can have a face to face meeting with the pm only in Belize fu true.
Asylum is for people who cannot return to their HOME COUNTRY for fear of persecution. McAfee’s home country is the U.S., not Belize. Is he contending he will be persecuted in the States? He might have left some unpaid bills there, but that is not persecution.
Rightfully, Guatemala should deport him to the U.S., his home, because he entered illegally. But I’m sure, as long as the dregs of his money hold out, he can buy special accommodations with any government in Central America.
I don’t need a crystal ball to see that McAfee’s journey on this Earth will end badly. Too bad in many ways. And I hope Mr. Faull’s murderer is caught and hanged. Unfinished business bothers me.
I don’t know if its the river water that we drink or age creeps in and Belizeans get stupid. Gawd, Belizeans are very smart, but reading this blog, one has to ask, why are we such @$$ kissers?

It will be just a matter of time before McAfee and Guats honeymoon goes out the window. Guatemalan police will not sit back and say he is a person of interest. They will shoot on sight.
It looks like this doofus bag McAfee jumped out of the frying pan into the fire. Good riddance. Hopefully, we siezed his assets (including his bank accounts.) Give it to the Belize City Council. They are going to need it pretty soon with all the IOUs they are accumulating.
Let’s repave our streets with McAfee’s money. North Front Street would be called i McAfee Street. Queen Street = Sam Street. Church St = Bath Salt Street. Get the drift?
Wow, I guess SEDI was right. Our borders are truly ‘artificial’. Anyone can come in ad do as they please then leave.You can literally get away with murder in this country. Good luck getting him extradited back to Belize.

Someone in authority (the PD?) made a lot of xmas money hiding Macafee, and then helping him leave Belize.
He could not have gotten off the island and across the border without any help from someone in charge. he is the best to tell about the corruption because I am sure he benefitted from it. He is part of the problem so why should the PM meet with him?
If he is not guilty why did he run and hide? If he is guilty the same question stands because he would have gotten off any way. With all the media cameras I am sure there would have been no possible way he could have been killed or injured, besides he would have had access to the most powerful team of attorneys.
He is just a rich a joker; but a joker none the less!
