A post mortem examination conducted on the baby Harmony revealed that the baby died from a lack of oxygen to the body caused by the ingestion of fecal matter during the birthing process. Doctor Mendez explains the cause of death.

“According to the death certificate, it says that the baby died from hypoxemia. Hypoxemia means that there is a low quantity of oxygen in the blood—it is the same as asphyxia. And of course this is a recent asphyxia or hypoxemia on the way how they described of what gave rise to death—it states that there was a severe meconium asphyxia syndrome. When there is a severe meconium asphyxia syndrome; meconium is the stool that the baby’s stool inside the mother’s womb because the baby was suffering. It was so stressful for that baby in there that he stools inside and he starts to aspirate. And when he born, he swallows it; he breathes it and that creates worse scenario for the baby. In this case, this baby had worst because not only his brain cells were totally damaged, but his entire body. So he was not able to withstand the severity and the punishment that he went through and that’s why he succumbed to hypoxemia with a severe meconium aspiration syndrome.”
What a grotesque result of the “medical attention” inflicted on this poor mother and infant.
We need an outside professional investigation of the many tragedies that have taken place at that “hospital.”
And, to start, NAME THE NAMES OF THE PEOPLE WHO ATTENDED THIS POOR VICTIM. It may be a matter of life and death for the next victim-patient.

As we see where the hell is she now that a case like this they need her but she doesn’t it seems to be a case of her interest. no wonder we say human rights sucks!!!!!

If you had the choice between a pill from the USA and one from some lab in central america, which would you pick ? MDs need constant training in there field, but i believe this is not the case!!!! with that said
So how many helpless new born has died?
Why is it that after all the the deaths MOH has no clear answer?
After taking a closer look at the problem, I came to the fallowing:
Would any one allow a podiatrist to perform Open heart (cardiac) Surgery , Ask Belize Medical Board, Cause I think they are ok with that, seems Leadership is non existent.
Belize MOH lock leadership, the minister is clueless, so for the CEO a dentist, don’t let the “MPH” fool you ” its like taking a couple of classes in epidemiology, and now you are Certified
Epidemiologist, only in Belize. I am sure that BMB knows what is going on.
The only solution is to replace the incompetent Minister and CEO( who only cares about is bottom line), launch a full investigation, by an independent non partisan group of qualified,
Medical Doctors, to come up with solutions to this infanticide perpetuated by MOH.
Belizeans should demand that only Qualified MDs be CEO of MOH, and amend the constitution, so that, in the case no political party has an MD as an elected official, that GOB can appoint one.
After all if a nations health is unhealthy, well every thing will go the same!!!!!!!!!
I could only say sorry for your lost, and hope that it never happens again, but the status Quo
is what matters, my advise to expecting mothers go over the boarder to Mexico, As GOB
may over look it for now. I fell for the parents, especially the newborn who’s life was not of interest to MOH.
