CARICOM heads of government at summit in Trinidad
In regional news, CARICOM Heads of Government are in Trinidad and Tobago where a summit is currently underway. Trinidad’s Prime Minister Kamla Persuad is chairing the regional Conference of Heads which is discussing a number of economic issues including regional transportation. The summit also coincides with commemoration of the fortieth anniversary of the establishment of CARICOM on July fourth, 1973. Belize is being represented by Foreign Minister Wilfred Elrington.
