Former Agriculture Minister, Russel Alexander Garcia, has died following a brief illness. The fifty-nine year old died in his hometown of Dangriga on Saturday. He will be given an official burial on Wednesday. Affectionately known as “Chiste”, Garcia served as Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries during the period 1993-1998 before retiring from active politics.
